Safeguarding
A safe place to belong.
At ECN, we want every person – child, young person, and adult – to feel safe, valued, and protected. Creating a healthy church and a safe environment is not just a legal responsibility - it is a reflection of God’s heart for His people.
We recognise that children and adults can be vulnerable to harm, so we work hard to build a culture where safety, transparency, and care are at the centre of everything we do.
Our Commitment
We follow Elim’s national safeguarding standards, which outline clear principles, expectations, and procedures designed to keep everyone safe.
This includes:
A comprehensive Safeguarding Policy
Clear guidance on reporting concerns or allegations
Safer recruitment practices for all volunteers and staff
Ongoing safeguarding training for everyone working with children or adults at risk
Regular supervision and accountability for those in ministry roles
Our aim is to minimise opportunities for harm and to ensure that any concerns are handled promptly, sensitively, and appropriately.
Our Safeguarding Team
We have a trained Safeguarding Team who oversee safeguarding across the life of the church. They are available to support, advise, and respond to any concerns.
If you ever have a question or concern, please reach out.
Our Elim Regional Safeguarding Lead is Libby Courtney-Jackson. Her telephone number is 07429 051 112 and her email address is libby.courtney-jackson@elim.org.uk.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and together we can ensure ECN remains a safe place for all.
