Church isn’t just a place you attend – it’s a family you belong to. Becoming a member of ECN is a meaningful step that says, “This is my church. These are my people. I’m committed to growing in faith and building God’s kingdom alongside them”.

Membership is not about status or ticking a box. It’s about partnership, shared vision, and walking together in love, truth, and grace.

Why Membership Matters

We all join things we believe in – gyms, clubs, communities – because we want to be part of something bigger than ourselves. Church membership goes deeper than that. It’s a mutual commitment between you and the church, saying: “We’re in this together.”

When you become a member of ECN, you’re saying:

• I belong here

• I believe in the vision and values of this church and its leaders

• I want to grow in faith and serve God with my gifts

• I’m ready to walk with others in love, unity, and grace

And in return, as a church, we commit to:

• Support you through pastoral care and spiritual growth

• Encourage and challenge you to keep growing in your relationship with God

• Walk with you as you discover and live out your calling

Membership is a shared journey of faith, purpose, and community.

Who Can Become a Member?

Membership is open to anyone who:

• Has accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour

• Regularly attends Elim Church Northampton

• Has been baptised in water (or is ready to take that step)

• Desires to grow in Christ and live according to the Bible

• Embraces Elim’s core beliefs and values

Everyone is welcome to attend our services and events, no matter their background or beliefs. But certain leadership and ministry roles require the commitment and accountability of membership.

What Membership Looks Like

Becoming a member means:

• Being part of a church family that knows you and cares for you

• Participating in the life, mission, and ministry of ECN

• Supporting the church through prayer, service, and generosity

• Growing in discipleship and spiritual maturity

• Standing together in unity as we pursue God’s vision for our church and city
