Water Baptism
Get baptised.
A step of faith. A celebration of new life.
Baptism is a beautiful and powerful moment in the life of every believer. It’s an outward expression of an inward change – a public declaration that you have chosen to follow Jesus and live a new life in Him. At ECN, we love celebrating baptisms because they remind us of God’s transforming power and the hope we have in Christ.
If you’re exploring baptism or wondering whether it’s your next step, we would love to walk that journey with you.
What Baptism Means
Baptism is a symbol of:
New life – leaving the old behind and stepping into the life Jesus offers
Obedience – following Jesus’ example and teaching
Belonging – publicly identifying with Christ and His church
Transformation – celebrating what God has already begun in your heart
It doesn’t mean you have everything figured out. It simply means you’re choosing to follow Jesus and trust Him with your life.
What to Expect
Our baptism services are joyful, faith‑filled celebrations. Here’s what usually happens:
Ahead of the service, we’ll film a short testimony about how you came into relationship with Christ and why you’re getting baptised
You’ll be baptised by full immersion in water
The church will cheer you on, pray for you, and celebrate with you
We’ll support and encourage you as you continue your journey of faith with us
We’ll guide you through everything beforehand so you feel confident and prepared.
Who Can Be Baptised?
Anyone over 13 who has made a personal decision to follow Jesus is welcome to be baptised. Whether you’re new to faith or have been a Christian for many years, baptism is a powerful step of obedience and commitment.
If you’re unsure or have questions, we’d love to talk with you.
