As a church family, we’re passionate about helping every person grow in their relationship with God - finding freedom from the past, strength for today, and hope for the future. That’s why we’re inviting you to join us in the Holy Spirit Course, a seven‑session journey created by Elim to help us understand and experience the person and work of the Holy Spirit in a deeper way.
The teaching is rooted in Scripture and accessible for everyone, whether you’re exploring faith, returning to church, or have walked with Jesus for many years. Our prayer is that this course will help you grow in confidence, discover more of the gifts God has placed within you, and live a Spirit‑empowered life that brings hope to our town and beyond.
You can take part on your own during the week or go through it together in your Connect Group. However you choose to engage, we’re excited to see how God uses this in your life.
Enjoy the course!

Session 1 - Who or What is the Holy Spirit?
This session introduces the Holy Spirit as a divine person, God himself, who is active in creation, mission, and the life of every believer. Far from being a mysterious force, the Holy Spirit is personal, relational, and essential to the Christian life.
Session 2 - The Baptism in the Holy Spirit
This session explores the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as a further, empowering experience for believers, given for mission, witness, and service. It looks at key moments in Acts, what “evidence” may look like, and how Jesus invites us to ask in faith.
Session 3 - Supernatural lifestyle - The Gifts of the Spirit (Part 1)
This session introduces “supernatural living” as the normal overflow of Spirit-filled Christian life. It focuses especially on gifts connected with communicating with God and with others, including tongues, interpretation, and prophecy, and how these gifts strengthen the church
Session 4 - Supernatural Lifestyle - The Gifts of the Spirit (Part 2)
This session sets spiritual gifts in the context of the church as the body of Christ, where gifts are given for the common good rather than spiritual status. It explores gifts such as healing, faith, knowledge, wisdom, miracles, and discernment.
Session 5 - Supernatural Lifestyle - The Fruit of the Spirit
This session focuses on the fruit of the Spirit as the deep character-work of the Holy Spirit in believers: love, joy, peace, and the everyday “shape” of a Spirit-formed life. It also keeps gifts in perspective by placing love at the centre.
Session 6 - How to be filled with the Holy Spirit
This session is a practical and pastoral guide to receiving the Spirit’s fullness: the cost paid by Jesus, the invitation to ask, and common barriers like doubt, fear, and feelings of inadequacy.
Session 7 - Living by the Spirit
This session turns to daily discipleship: living under the Spirit’s guidance rather than the flesh, renewing the mind, walking in holiness and freedom, praying with the Spirit’s help, and being empowered to witness.
